Frequently asked questions

  • Is it normal for my Heat Pump to ice up?
To see some frost on your Heat Pump is normal. Thick frost or ice is not normal and we would recommend having your system serviced.
  • Do I need to cover my Air Conditioner in the winter?
It is not absolutely neccessary to cover your Air Conditioner in the winter, however having it covered can help keep the unit clean of leaves and debri from fall & winter. If the unit is covered please be sure the power to the unit is turned off to avoid being used before cover is removed. Please note: Heat Pumps are NOT to be covered and are to remain free of debri at all time.
  • How often should I change my filter?
We recommend changing your filter at least every 3 months. If you purchased a new home we recommend changing the filter every month for at least the first year.
